First visitor from San Diego

Teri Summerhay's daughter, Samantha, had a baby in Beijing last month. Teri flew over to be with her for a few weeks. She decided to take a day out of her schedule and spend it with me in Hong Kong before flying back to San Diego. We crammed in as much as possible in one day.

I met her at the airport and brought her back to my place. She loved Hong Kong skyline at night. The next morning, I took her on my morning routine, hiking Victoria Peak. No easy feat....which is why she did her "victory" pose.

Next up: Kowloon via the Star Ferry.  David took Teri on a mini tour of Mattel while in Kowloon.

I did not get a picture of the two of us in the Jade Market where we spent a LONG time shopping. After the Jade Market we headed back to the Hong Kong side in hopes of going to Stanley; however, I got on the wrong ferry and ended up in WanChai. We did happen upon my church while I wandered around looking for a bus terminal to Stanley. Teri kept saying it was meant to be and she enjoyed seeing where we spend our Sundays.

We made it on the bus to Stanley, but we did not make it to Stanley. Half way there I realized we better head back, fearing that she may miss her flight back home. We had a very fun, wild and crazy day.

I am so grateful she routed her trip back home through Hong Kong.

Neil and Shawna visit Hong Kong

I was anxiously awaiting Neil and Shawna's trip to Hong Kong. I was so excited to show them where we lived and what our new routine has become. I surprised them by showing up at the airport. Shawna and I were quite a spectacle as we hugged and jumped. We did settle down to capture a picture.

We stopped at the market in WanChai for dinner:

We took a tour of the Mattel offices:

Shopping at the night market:

Various modes of transportation

Shawna shared smoothie recipes to refuel each day

We hiked and hiked

Our longest hike: Lantau/Buddha

Shawna and I getting our Zen on

The view at the top made it all worth it.

Cute little restaurant at the top of the Peak above my house

We did find time for church

And we went to Macau

Such a cool picture of Neil and Shawna

We went to McDonalds a lot. Neil loved it.

Kim took us to the Jade market for a long day of shopping:

We ended the shopping trip with a foot massage.

Shawna and I bought a new pair of shoes that were incredibly comfortable. Twinners

A highlight of the trip was experiencing Halloween Hong Kong style. The crowds are insane:

It was finally time to say goodbye to one of the best times we've ever had. I love Neil and Shawna

Goodbye dear friend until next time.
